Mas Campassol Project
Mas Campassol is part of an educational and awareness project for the protection of nature and animals.
Our guided tours on Fridays are designed to learn about the animal shelter, our country house’s ecological facilities and the secrets of its history through the details that are still preserved and that show how people used to live in the past.
We also think about the wildlife with which we coexist. That is why we undertook a flora and fauna conservation project, creating direct actions to favor and enrich the habitat we share.
Eliminating the hunting ground was our first big step to protect wildlife- This created 43 hectares of peace and shelter for animals, thus transforming the farm into a wildlife refuge.
We created a landscaped area that favors pollinating insects, creating a worthy spectacle in spring and summer.
There is also a field full of fruit plants and trees for birds, mammals and micro-mammals.
We are committed to protect important faunal areas, such as the natural pools, restricting the impact of visits and other uses that may damage the natural dynamics of these ecological richness areas.
We built dry stone walls and cairns, these ancestral agricultural techniques favor biodiversity, providing shelter and an ideal place for the hibernation of multiple species of small fauna, such as insects, reptiles and micromammals.
In the organic garden we have recovered ancient species of native and organic fruit trees.

Mas Campassol is a big family looking forward to welcoming you. Our common goal is to live in a more respectful way with the environment and all beings that live in it.
Awareness is an essential step for change to take place; that is why our first objective is to collaborate in raising society’s awareness.
A project that gathers the effort and work of all these people, and many others as collaborators who help in their day to day to make our planet a place of help, learning and connection with nature; generating close ties between all beings that coexist.

Project
Mas Campassol is part of an educational and awareness-raising project for the protection of nature, animals and biodiversity.
Shelter
A shelter for rescued animals is the heart of the project. We use it for developing social projects for children in vulnerable situations, and educational projects for schools and families.
Respect
Given that caring for the planet is the essence of our activity, we promote environmentally friendly tourism, suitable for a circular and sustainable economy.
Foundation
The profits generated by the lodgings go entirely to Empatía Foundation, whose mission is to care for and raise awareness about animals and nature.
The educational center is called Espai Natura, and it is structured in 4 parts where eco and ethical-educational and awareness-raising activities are carried out:
1.- Eco-pedagogical garden.
2.- Shelter for rescued animals.
3.- Atlantic and Mediterranean flora forest.
4.- Workshops on health and protection of nature and biodiversity.
