We use solar thermal panels, biomass and aerothermal boiler, ecological and renewable energy sources to heat the country house.
Photovoltaic panels
Our own photovoltaic solar field supplies us with our own clean electricity. Minimizing our carbon footprint.
Responsible hotel/restaurant activity
The placement of a new roof and walls with interior windows have been key to insulate the interior thermally and minimize consumption. We have also used reclaimed beams from this and other country houses
Water system
We separate three types of water, yellow and black, purifying them separately and finally using the nitrates as fertilizer and the gray water for irrigation.
Self-sufficiency in food supply
Our supplies come from our organic garden and local foods.
We encourage plant-based foods, since industrial livestock farming is one of the main causes of climate change.
Social Commitment
Fundació Empatia (Empathy Foundation) and its shelter for rescued animals are the heart of the whole project developed in Mas Campassol.
Profits obtained from accommodations go entirely to The Foundation, thus all guests participate in its activities and main purpose: raising awareness and caring for animals and nature.
We trust that symbiosis between Fundació Empatia and Mas Campassol is key for our commitment to make the change that the planet needs.
