The renovation of the Mas
Mas Campassol is a typical Catalan ‘Mas’ (Farm) construction initially build in the 12th century. It has experienced several extensions and reconstructions over the years, but always preserving the original structure and the arrangement of its elements, adapted to the terrain and location conditions. You can enjoy observing several well preserved original elements and get an idea of how life was in these years. It is very interesting to understand how they cooked, washed clothes or managed waste.
These pictures show a small sample of how the Mas was when we found it for the first time and how the renovations have been carried out by us. We have given our best to preserving as much as possible all those elements that make it unique.
